If you like mecha and enjoy a great story, this is the perfect anime to watch. It sends out the message to believe in yourself and always have a strong will to achieve something you really want. It starts out in Tokyo, where schools from all over the city went to the Tokyo Tower for a field trip. All of a sudden, a bright light is seen and a girl's voice is heard. Hikaru Shidou, Fuu Hououji, and Umi Ryuuzaki-8th grade girls all from different schools-are transported from Tokyo to Cephiro(a land controlled by the power of one's will and in desperate need for help). Master Mage Clef, the most powerful mage in the land, explains to the girls why they were summoned. Princess Emeraude, the pillar of the land, has been captured by evil priest Zagato, who then brought the once peaceful world of Cephiro into a land where monsters roamed freely and chaos was everywhere. She used whatever power she had left to call for the girls from another world to become the legendary Magic Knights and revive the Rune-Gods who can defeat Zagato and restore their world. Clef gave each of them evolving armor that would change as their strength and will increased. He also gave each of them their own magic, but only had enough time to teach Hikaru how to use it. Unfortunately, Clef was turned to stone by Zagato shortly after telling the girls to head to the Forest of Silence to receive their weapons.

With the help of Clef's flying bird, the girls made it to the Forest of Silence, and went to see Presea. There, they met Mokona and it helped them find the legendary ore of Escudo that would be used to make their evolving weapons. On their way through the forest to the Spring of Eterna(where the ore was located), they meet Ferio(a swordsman that Fuu falls in love with), who helps them fight off the monsters that they encounter. Eventually, the Escudo is found and is brought back to Presea, who makes their swords, but dies from being crushed under a rock. Now, their job is to get to the Rune-Gods as quickly as possible while Cephiro is falling apart. They confront many obstacles and enemies sent from Zagato as they continue their journey to save the princess, but the knights still push on. This story has a major twist in the end, so if you wanna find out what happens, u're just gonna have to watch it yourself. All i can say is that in Cephiro, will does conquer all and the only way to save it isn't as easy as it seems.
