Alrighty, the story behind Sailormoon is quite interesting(well obviously or else I wouldn't love it so much). A long time ago, when prosperity conquered all, there was a beautiful kingdom on the moon. It was ruled by a powerful Queen Serenity, along with her daughter, Princess Serena. Everyone and everything was peaceful and perfect. Princesses from Mars, Mercury, Jupiter, and Venus were there too, and so was the guy the moon princess was in love with. All was well until one day...when the Negaverse declared war and literally sucked up everything there was in the moon kingdom. Queen Serenity was getting weaker, but she used all that she had left to protect her daughter, Darien, and the other princesses. She used the imperial silver crystal to send them to earth without a memory of their past. They will live normal lives, and Luna and Artemis will be there to watch them. If more evil should come after her crystal, the two guardians(the cats) shall summon them all to protect the earth and the crystal.

Now Sailormoon, Sailor Mercury, Sailor Mars, Sailor Jupiter, and Sailor Venus have to work together to fight off the evil still out to conquer the earth and take the energy from defenseless humans. With the help of Luna, Artemis, and Tuxedo Mask, defeating the enemies is simple. As their long journey continues, more friends and demons from other worlds come to help and destroy the gang. Their powers will get stronger, so will their friendship, and nothing can tear apart the bond that keeps them all together...
